Session management in Undetectable Browser
A session or session in Undetectable Browser is a running and authorized program on any device. In this small guide, we will analyze the features of session management.
General definition of sessions
A session is a connection between a client device and a master server that allows interaction. Session or session refers to the period of time during which the interaction lasts, or to the complex that provides such an opportunity.
The server uses sessions to track the status of a job. Sessions are created as needed. For example, when a user opens a document in a browser, the server creates a session and downloads the latest version of that document.
One document can be opened in one session, and the same document can be opened in several sessions by different people at the same time. The user can also open multiple sessions for the same document or for different ones.
The session ends when the user ends it. However, if the user does not end the session, the server can end it itself if there is no action from the user for a period of time. This forced termination is called a timeout.
To prevent this completion, you must interact with the open document. For example, to navigate, edit, sort, filter. This will confirm to the server that the session is active and does not need to be terminated.
What is the "Sessions" section of Undetectable for?
In the "Sessions" section, you can track the activity of a person with the user role, for example, one of your colleagues. You can also force close sessions in this section.
Forced close is needed if the program is closed incorrectly. Because of this, the session remains active and does not allow the user to re-login due to the restriction that appears. Then you need a person with administrator or manager rights to forcefully close the session.
There are two ways to close a session. First way:
- Click the action button in the line of the desired session.
- Click on the "Delete" button.
Second way:
- Check the boxes for the sessions you want to disable.
- Click on the "Delete" button that appears.
How to deal with "limit reached" error
This error can also be dealt with using the "Sessions" section.
For example, a user enters Undetectable, logs in, and sees a message that the limit has been reached. This error is caused by the fact that the user has reached the limit of active sessions. The program was probably closed incorrectly the last time it was used and the session remained active. To close these sessions, you must do the following:
- Go to the cloud.undetectable.io cloud panel, open the page, log in.
- Go to the "Sessions" tab.
- Select the session to close, or select all sessions.
- Select the delete function in the "Actions" column. If more than one session is selected, a disconnect button will appear. When a session is disconnected, no data in on-premises and private cloud profiles will be lost.
Conclusion
Sessions are needed so that the server can track requests from the browser and the status of its work. If the user takes no action, the session ends. Sometimes the session can be completed incorrectly, then an error occurs - the limit of available sessions has been exhausted. In this case, you can fix the problem using the "Sessions" section in the Undetectable cloud panel.
